Daily journal May 30, 2001. A visit to the new Frist Art Museum Nashville, Tennessee.

Morning of 21st., the storm hit just as I was getting the luggage ready to put into my car with lightning and heavy rain on this sandy Mountain but I drove to Nashville and from the rivers bridge West up the hill on Broadway left in the antique post office building and the fabulous new Frist Art-Museum. They are showing art on loan from Canada on the main level, upstairs American art and local art. I left my card and web site address for the curator who was too busy to see me. If you have never felt like nothing just visit this polished hall and ask for an audience with the curator. Most of the time I do already feel like nothing anyway as I have always since being raised on a farm with milk in my shoes. So it does not matter. Artist must learn to live with rejection especially those of us that paint ugly pictures that speak a message for the world and contrary to the people’s world. All God requires of us is our faith, faithfulness and obedience. We must be dead to this world before we can really serve the Lord. The loss of this world must be a gain of God for us. In traveling it seems that one must use a jackhammer to open a tiny bar of soap. When will hotels learn? A call from Fedex that the Chicago art picture package had the wrong address and the continuing rain made my hands full at this time. I am motoring on West on I-40. A stop at Loretta Lynn’s Buffet exit 140, 60 miles West of Nashville. There is not much health in mind here because it is a bloody meat station with taste average and the cost reasonable about $6 per person. There were plenty of fruits and vegetables to eat. "If you go to church and pay tithes, you can do anything you like". A meeting with Carol Crown at Memphis at 3:00 p.m. to talk about a book of my art. I hope to print the first 3 years . From the Jakes ministry “You can have faith while I have the struggle, I need you Lord not up in heaven but to go to hell for me”. With all the time spent in church double on Sunday, the family suffers and does not get the rest that God intended. I will paint the Battle of Armageddon if they want to show future wars. Israel is bleeding but is not the present state of Israel. Germany was an arm of the Vatican in both world wars of the twentieth Century. A lot in Canada display Christ on the cross to indoctrinate people, they have the dead religion of the Catholic Church. In today’s world, Christian artist are almost always omitted, with the real truth, from showing in public projects. An opinion on T.V. money preachers, I saw Robert Tilton on again and in my opinion is more evil than the Hinn. T.D.Jakes is good even with his fancy dress on all night. There are many preachers on 24 hours on 3 or 4 stations and most aliened with TBN are always on. The Shepherd's Chapel is good, Gravette, Arkansas, now I see what is meant by all Israel are to be saved, the true Israelites are indeed those that follow Christ. Reveal it Lord now. Flashbacks-Many cows died when I was not there to run the family dairy farm in life. Lamentions continued 3-8 “Also when I cry and shout, He shutteth out my prayer”.

Hypnotic healing by evangelist on the airways is a test of my faith. No more coffee for me. After a great meeting with Dr. Carol Crown of the University of Memphis about a book of my art, I got back on I-40 and crossed the Mississippi River bridge into Arkansas straight into the dark clouds of heavy rain and extreme winds blowing my car then nearly off the road and it was hydroplaning for the 200 miles to Hot Springs. Everyday of my life is rush and push for 16 hours. It's no problem to work all the time, the only problem is with the people who have nothing to do. There is plenty for everyone to do and ever voice should be heard. Hot Springs is a natural healing center as far back to the Indians who when they bathed in these waters they would lay down their weapons it is said.
